Experiments

To encapsulate the 5 experiments we have completed for the Data Spaces module, we wanted to visualise the interconnections between humans, and the data we interact with daily on the internet. We approached the various experiments with the aim of visualising data as an ever changing entity. We looked into human behaviour with the internet, and how our actions can affect our identity and our perception of data.

The data we collected for the 5 experiments and applied to varies. We utilised data from within the group, from the class as a collective, and also with music / audio to visualise data to create static and dynamic artworks.

Initially, we approached the art direction or concept with water to connect to the idea of flow. However, we felt that it would translate the concept too literally as we would also begin to constraint our sketches to follow a certain shape or theme (e.g. water ripples). As we are also relatively new to some of the softwares introduced, we wanted to explore and not limit ourselves creatively.
